Kathleen Ann (Wanchic) Rawson

Kathleen Ann Rawson, age 80, of Steubenville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2026, at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville.

Kathleen was born to the late Michael “Chappy” Wanchic and Kathleen (Arehart) Wanchic. She was a proud 1963 graduate of Toronto High School and a faithful member of St. Joseph Byzantine Catholic Church in Toronto.

A devoted homemaker, Kathleen was the true matriarch of her family. She was a talented seamstress who took great pride in her work, whether she was doing alterations, making pillowcases, or creating homemade oven towels for those she loved. Her hands were always busy, and her heart was always full.

Kathleen found her greatest joy in time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved playing games, sharing laughs, and treasured every visit and photograph she received from them. Her home was filled with warmth, love, and the quiet strength that only a mother and grandmother like Kathleen could provide.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Wilfred LeRoy Rawson, whom she married on November 15, 1963; her children, Lori Ann Rawson Wickham and husband Terry, Wilfred Patrick Rawson and wife Tammy, Michael Robert Rawson and wife Kim, Christopher James Rawson, and Nicole Marie Rawson; her adopted sons, David Rawson and wife April, and John Rawson; her grandchildren, Tiffany, Megan, Jessica, Michael, Joshua, Derek, Alexis, Caleb, Nicholas, and Owen; and her great-grandchildren, Kayden, Sophie, Bo, Kenleigh, Kruze, Riker, Dean, and Quinnley.

Kathleen’s family will forever cherish her gentle spirit, her unwavering love, and the legacy of devotion she leaves behind.
